  1. I **finally** finished my #2 goal of the break, consolidating photos from about 8 different sources into one place -- a @Synology NAS. I wish I'd done this sooner. It's really nice to see all our photos all the way back to 2004 in one place:

      We might have lost some photos from 2017. I'm not sure where they went, but there are a few months of nothing, and overall a suspiciously low volume that year. Really I'm pretty happy those are the **only** photos I lost track of.

        Curious readers might wonder about goal #1. I was going to hang a ductless range hood. No cabinets above & the ceiling is arched so I'd build a shelf to mount on, & extend the wiring from a box hosting a pull-cord light. I closed that box right back up after seeing this mess:
