If you're wondering how much food to pack for a run that long, this is my food bag. Beef jerky, sandwich, three energy bars, and five energy gels.

If I had more, I would reenact mile 11 for you, when I pulled the top of my water bottle too far with me teeth and sprayed water up my nose. Huh larious.

And most of what I had left was used to rinse off my knee. I caught a root at mile 21.5 and supermanned down the trail. Thanks, trail, but I didn't need any more hints that I was exhausted. Worse than the scraped up knee is the magic shell-like crust of sweat & dirt I now have.
