        1. I've been working on this thing I call "my life playbook." I've realized that many times when I'm feeling blah, it's actually for a reason I've experienced before, and I've just forgotten about it. It's in its early stages - mostly just a collection of notes right now. 1/5

I've been feeling blah for the last couple days, and this morning I realized why - I had a couple of nebulous tasks looming over me. I have a tendency to dread those tasks and put them off, and then feel grumpy. Once I realized this, I remedied and ate the frog(s). 2/5

But I also went to update my life playbook, and make a note that "nebulous/uncertain tasks fill me with a sense of dread, and make me feel generally grumpy if I avoid them for a couple days." When I went into my life playbook, what's the first thing I saw? 3/5

And I quote: " Nebulous or long-running tasks fill me with dread and loom over me. * Break tasks down smaller. Checking off boxes makes me feel better. * Set a date other than today if you're not going to work on it today. Clearing it from the board makes me feel better. " 4/5

So ummmmm I guess the first rule of "my life playbook" is "actually read my life playbook," cuz there's good stuff in there. 5/5

PS I'm using @RoamResearch for organizing it right now - it's a really great tool and you should check it out. PPS I use @todoist for managing my tasks throughout the day - it's *also* a really great tool and you should check it out. PPPS Should I write about how I use them?
