@MatthewJones517 @laurieontech That's the most effective way I've found to gather feedback from a workshop. The color they pick is less useful than the comments they leave on the note. Most importantly to me, the comments are fresh in their minds when they write it, and it's fresh in my mind when I read it.

@MatthewJones517 @laurieontech There's still a lot of sorting to do with the responses. I mostly forget about any without comments, or comments about things I can't or don't want to change. The most useful comments are about things I'm already wondering - did this module work? Was it too hard? Too easy? Etc.

@MatthewJones517 @laurieontech Sometimes I'll seed those questions in their mind when I describe my feedback system at the beginning; sometimes I forget or feel like it will distract them too much the workshop. Sometimes I seed the questions at the end of the workshop, when I solicit feedback again.

@MatthewJones517 @laurieontech The really supportive comments get added to my "wall of motivation" for times I need to remind myself how well I'm doing. They also get used in the "notes" field when submitting to another event.
