Script idea: A man becomes stranded on an island. He discovers a boat on the island, and gets excited. It doesn't start. Through some troubleshooting, he discovers the boat is powered by..... Christmas lights. And the bulbs aren't lighting up.

Every day the man starts with renewed energy, eager to find the bulbs that are burned out. An hour later, every day, he concludes with bleeding fingers and defeated morale that it is just. not. worth it. He'd rather die on this island. He cries all day, and goes to bed a mess.

He wakes each morning with a start. The same nightmare again: his wife and children, at home, decorating for the holidays. Except the lights are burned out, and his children are trying to identify the bad bulbs. He can't subject them to these horrors. He must get home to them!

This goes on for years, until one morning he says "f#@$ this, this is f#@$ing stupid," rips the lights from the boat, and orders a new set from Amazon.
