I don't remember exactly what you said, or how you said it, but it was effectively "make it yours." In hindsight it feels obvious, but until that moment, I always considered myself along for the ride. In that moment, I realized I was an active part of an organism.Permalink On twitter.com

It took me a month or so to understand your advice. But once I did, I started owning things. I started beer bclub; I got serious about speaking at conferences; I started fighting for the culture I wanted to keep. I started being a more active participant in my life.Permalink On twitter.com
